Our Peer Support Specialists
Our fully certified Peer Support Specialists are the backbone of our programs here at Serenity. They lead many of our recovery groups and offer personal mentoring, resources, empathy, and here-and-now assistance to help you navigate the complexities of addiction recovery.
With personal, lived experience in overcoming addiction and specialized training, our peer support specialists provide valuable insights and encouragement on the path to recovery.

Complete Care for Your Recovery
Serenity Treatment Center offers a wide range of services designed to support your journey to recovery. Our comprehensive programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring that you receive the most effective and personalized care possible. Explore our extensive service offerings to find the support that’s right for you.
Intensive
Outpatient
Our IOP offers intensive clinical counseling with morning and evening programs available. Expect group therapy sessions focusing on early recovery skills and relapse prevention, applying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for lasting change.
Traditional Outpatient
Receive clinical support through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in small group settings. With sessions meeting 1-2 times a week for 26 weeks, you'll develop coping skills and prevent relapse while enhancing life skills.
Medications for Opioid Use Disorder
If you need help managing withdrawal symptoms and cravings associated with opioid dependence, we can help you get the support you need. Our staff is well-versed in the options and can refer you to our community partners for those treatments we don't provide in-house.
Alcohol and
Drug Testing
We offer alcohol and drug testing services to meet legal, employment, housing, and treatment program requirements. Our confidential testing procedures help individuals maintain accountability and progress in their recovery journey.
Support
Groups
Our support groups provide a safe and nurturing environment for individuals to connect with peers facing similar challenges. From 12-Step meetings to intimate partner violence encouragement sessions, we offer a variety of support group options to promote healing and growth.
Life Skills
Classes

Family
Counseling
Our family counseling services address the impact of addiction on relationships and family dynamics. We provide a supportive space for families to explore challenges, improve communication, and foster healing and reconciliation.
DUI/DWI
Education
Our 12 Hour (6-Week) and 26-Week DUI/DWI treatment programs are approved by the state of Maryland. We provide comprehensive support, including MVA reporting and coordination with your legal representation, to help you fulfill requirements related to driving under the influence.
Community Referrals
In addition to our in-house services, we offer community referrals for mental health services, medication management, and inpatient treatment options. Our goal is to ensure individuals have access to the resources and support they need to achieve lasting recovery.

Whether you prefer the fellowship of our men’s or women’s only groups or need transportation to get to and from treatment, we are committed to providing the support and resources you need to achieve lasting recovery.
Women's Only Groups
With a focus on trauma-informed care and a women-specific perspective, we provide a safe and empowering environment for women to pursue recovery.
Men's Only Groups
These groups foster a sense of camaraderie and address the unique challenges men may face in their recovery journey, encouraging open discussion and mutual support among peers.
